Nogales Dental Advanced announces COVID-19 message
As concern over the COVID-19 coronavirus grows in the Arizona-Sonora region, a Nogales dentistry clinic has announced that they have implemented measures to prevent the spread of the pathogen.
The border is still open for Americans
Last week’s travel restrictions to “non-essential” non-commercial traffic put in place at the northern and southern borders of the United States affected incoming traffic from Canada and Mexico.
The Republic of Mexico currently has no international travel restrictions in place, so Americans are free to visit Mexico. Read more.
And though it may not be a good idea to travel very far into Mexico, cities on the Arizona-Sonora international border are still open for business.
Dental Advanced responds to coronavirus concerns
Nogales, Mexico dental clinic Nogales Dental Advanced has announced their stance over the border closure and the coronavirus outbreak. They stress that dentists, as always, use protective measures to help prevent the transmission of viruses. They announce abbreviated hours during the border closures.
Patients entering the clinic will have their temperature taken with a remote infrared thermometer. They have stocks of cleaning, disinfection and sterilization supplies.
And, they offer patients a written medical prescription so they can show U.S. customs officers that they were in Mexico as they are crossing back across the border to Arizona. Technically this is not necessary, but it very well could help to facilitate crossing the Nogales border.

Whether you decide to stay at home or travel to the border, remember to be safe by constantly washing and sanitizing your hands, avoiding personal contact and practicing social spacing.
